Firstly, I’d like to wish you all a happy 2021! 🥳
Also… GUYS, I READ 110 BOOKS THIS YEAR!!!???? I know for some book bloggers that’s like the norm. But for me it’s HUUUGE! I literally started this year by saying, if possible I’d like to aim for a book a month this year, and see where that goes… Like, for real, my original Goodreads Challenge was 12 books! TWELVE. BOOKS.
It had been honestly a long time – longer than I’d like to admit! – since I had really read more than a book or two in a year. But at the end of last year I experienced something that made me sit up and really question if I was prioritizing the things in my life that really mattered to me.

Happy New Year’s Eve!! 🍾 I hope you’re all having a wonderful time ringing in the new year, whether it’s cuddled up on the couch in your PJs, or getting wasted at a Zoom party (lol). 2020 has been quite the year. And I can’t say I’m too sad about seeing it go! Not that it being the year 2021 will reaaaally make that much of a difference to our circumstances… 🤷🏻♀️
But even still, there’s something about the start of a new year that brings a sense of excitement and anticipation for all the possibilities that might come with it. So I hope you’ve got something to look forward to in the new year, and you can toast to that tonight. 🥂

Now that it’s officially December, let me be the first to wish you happy holidays! ⛄️🎄✨ (Yes, I am more than a little pumped for the holiday season; don’t mind me.)
I don’t know about you, but for me, November flew by! It was a pretty busy month though, so I’m not surprised it passed by so quick. My work has been a little hectic trying to prepare for if our province goes into another lockdown (and with cases the way they are, that’s becoming more and more likely). I’ve also been slightly stressed because I’ve come this close 👌 to being in contact with COVID on multiple occasions these past few weeks (like by mere hours)… So I’m not exactly hyped to go into work lately!

Goodbye, October. Hello, November! (I’d say goodbye fall, hello winter… but let’s be real, here in Canada we’re already well into winter.) Yes, it’s been solidly snowing for the past two weeks – so it’s a good thing I’m a fan of the snow! ☃️
In fact, I LOVE it! 😍 With COVID cases in my city starting to climb again, and a provincial-wide second phase declaration very likely in the near future, I’ve been spending even more time than before at home. And I have to say, the weather has made it much more bearable. It’s hard to feel bad about being cooped up indoors when it’s snowing heavily outside and freezing cold! 🥶 Instead, I’ve found myself curling up inside under a pile of warm blankets, drinking lots of hot tea and reading good books. 🍵📚

It’s hard to believe, but September is over already! 🤯
I don’t know about you, but this month was quite a hectic one for me. I not only started back up at school (my final year of my third degree!), but I also went back to working as a research assistant and started my clinical practicum. So I’ve had a lot on my plate.
