As you may have noticed, it’s been a little quite over here on my blog during the month of June! I’m not going on hiatus or anything like that, but there likely will continue to be a lot less content popping up on my blog for the next little while. And that’s really just because I’ve been very busy – and very focused! – on finishing my thesis!
Because of that I’ve definitely been doing a lot less book reading, and a lot more research article reading! (If only I could count the 200 or so of those I blasted through this past month in my goodreads challenge! 😂) It’s also been a little hard to focus on blog writing when I’ve been so busy thesis writing…

Happy Pride, everyone! 🌈 Whether you’re queer or not, out or not, I hope you have a wonderful June!
I’m honestly still wrapping my head around the fact May is over… It’s kind of a funny time in my life, and I guess the days just sort of blur together a little. I’m in the midst of writing my thesis – I defend at the end of the summer – and I’m in the odd place where I can’t help fretting about the future but also feeling like all my responsibilities are a ways off? It’s been a bit of an adjustment getting used to it, but I’ve mostly got a routine as of now.
And I’m excited for the month of June! Even though I won’t be going out and doing a lot what with Covid restrictions and thesis writing, it’s still just nice to even have the sun staying out for a few extra hours -perfect for late-night ice cream runs and reading outside. ☀️

Nevertheless! This is a very ✨ happy ✨ post, because…
I managed to complete it ALL! 🎉

Compared to February, March was a pretty quiet month. Besides being busy with work, I didn’t get up to anything too exciting. 🤷🏻♀️
Not that I’m complaining! In fact, it was nice to be able to relax and focus on finishing up my internship. Since I’m nearing the end of both my internship – and my degree as a whole! – things are likely going to get more hectic sooner rather than later, so I’ve been enjoying every moment of peace that I can find while I still can.
On the Covid front, numbers in my city have gotten a little better, so some things have started to open back up again! I went out for dinner for the first time in forever and it was everything. I really missed eating out, haha! 😅 My partner and I have also been motivating ourselves to get out by driving to different parks around the city and going for little walks on the weekend, which has been really nice (even if they have been on the chillier side).

Happy March everybody! Now that February is officially over, it’s time for me to do a wrap-up post for my participation in the F/F February readathon! 👭💖
As a reminder, F/F February is a month-long reading challenge that promotes reading and uplifting sapphic books during the month of February. This readathon was created and hosted by Imi and Ellie over at Beyond a Bookshelf. The original annoucement post can be found here. 🏳️🌈✨
And… it was the very first readathon I’d ever participated in!
