Happy Pride, everyone! 🌈 Whether you’re queer or not, out or not, I hope you have a wonderful June!
I’m honestly still wrapping my head around the fact May is over… It’s kind of a funny time in my life, and I guess the days just sort of blur together a little. I’m in the midst of writing my thesis – I defend at the end of the summer – and I’m in the odd place where I can’t help fretting about the future but also feeling like all my responsibilities are a ways off? It’s been a bit of an adjustment getting used to it, but I’ve mostly got a routine as of now.
And I’m excited for the month of June! Even though I won’t be going out and doing a lot what with Covid restrictions and thesis writing, it’s still just nice to even have the sun staying out for a few extra hours -perfect for late-night ice cream runs and reading outside. ☀️

Is it just me, or is it hard to believe it’s already May?!
As I alluded to before, April was a hectic month for me, to say the least. Between two jobs ending and my coursework finishing up for my (last and final!) semester, I wound up spending the majority of my time either working, stressed about work, or thinking about being stressed about work. 😪
Nevertheless! This is a very ✨ happy ✨ post, because…
I managed to complete it ALL! 🎉

Compared to February, March was a pretty quiet month. Besides being busy with work, I didn’t get up to anything too exciting. 🤷🏻♀️
Not that I’m complaining! In fact, it was nice to be able to relax and focus on finishing up my internship. Since I’m nearing the end of both my internship – and my degree as a whole! – things are likely going to get more hectic sooner rather than later, so I’ve been enjoying every moment of peace that I can find while I still can.
On the Covid front, numbers in my city have gotten a little better, so some things have started to open back up again! I went out for dinner for the first time in forever and it was everything. I really missed eating out, haha! 😅 My partner and I have also been motivating ourselves to get out by driving to different parks around the city and going for little walks on the weekend, which has been really nice (even if they have been on the chillier side).

Between my birthday, Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and Purim, my February was preeetty busy. So maybe it’s no surprise that I hit a bit of a reading slump. 🤷🏻♀️ I wound up taking a whole week off reading from (and posting!), in fact.
Despite that, however, I still managed to have a great month! Even in the midst of Covid, my partner managed to make my birthday really special. 😍 After hearing me complain for the umpteenth time about how much I missed going out for ramen, she took it upon herself to make me some absolutely delicious homemade ramen – from scratch! Add on the fact that she ordered me a black forrest cake (my favorite flavour of cake!) from one of my favorite bakeries, it was a pretty awesome day. 🥰
(Check out the photos below of my delicious birthday meal!)

Hello! Today I wanted to talk about really awesome readathon I’m planning to participate in throughout the month of February. I first saw in on Mayu’s blog, and immediately wanted to join in too! It’s called F/F February – and it’s all about reading sapphic books. 🌈💖
Being sapphic myself, I’ve been wanting to read more F/F books – it’s one of my reading goals for the year! – and as a new(er) book blogger, have been meaning to participate in my first EVER readathon – it’s one of my new year’s resolutions! – so this event felt like it was meant to be. I’m so excited to share my TBR with you all! 🥰
